Git for travel
Saved itineraries use real Git repositories on Cloudflare Artifacts. A canonical plan.json holds the brief, stops, source credit and ancestry. Validated commits become saved versions; HTML, JSON, Markdown and agent tools read the same accepted document.
Active drafts, named alternatives and published versions have separate pointers. Expected revision checks protect concurrent edits. Raw Git pushes must pass validation before they advance accepted or public content.
An independent remix starts a fresh repository with pinned document ancestry and immutable source credit, rather than inheriting the source commit graph. Named alternatives begin with snapshot roots and support whole-route selection, not selective merging.
Identity, permissions and audit records live outside Git. Delegated authoring access expires; publication remains the traveler’s choice. Saving requires the Artifacts service to be enabled; browser drafts remain editable during outages.
